Master Bus’s intercity electric buses are scheduled for delivery in June. The company showcased them early at the 2025 E-Mobility Expo on April 23, highlighting its fully in-house supply chain—becoming the focal point of the event. Five major components drew industry attention: chassis, body, battery pack, 450kW direct-drive motor, as well as the BMS and VCU systems.

Master Bus controls all "three electrics" of EV buses—battery, motor, and electric control system—featuring Toshiba’s lithium titanate (LTO) cells for the power system. It also developed in-house BMS for the battery packs and the full-vehicle ECU, as well as a high-power 450kW six-phase motor. Its chassis design spans low-floor, intercity, and 7-meter variants. The cage-structured body ensures safety, and these five critical systems reinforce Taiwan’s EV manufacturing base with a global vision—supporting the nation’s 2050 net-zero goals.

The government has included electrification of public transportation as a core policy. Different vehicle types have specific electrification deadlines and targets. By 2030, all city buses must be electric. Between 2030 and 2035, 8,400 intercity electric buses are to be added, along with 829 electric shuttle vehicles for designated transport services. Master Bus fully supports these policy goals and is actively participating in their implementation.

While global automakers focus on electric passenger cars, Master Bus has targeted the large passenger bus segment since its founding in 2003. Transitioning from diesel to electric, it has accumulated vast experience and become a DMIT-certified professional bus manufacturer. In line with government policies to phase out diesel buses, the company has shifted entirely to EV production. Its intercity electric bus is set to hit the road in June, with major operators like Capital Bus and others competing to be among the first to offer electric highway bus services—signaling strong future order potential.

Chairman Wu Ding-Fa emphasized that safety is paramount for electric buses. Master Bus maintains strict self-imposed quality standards and continuously refines its engineering, aiming to deliver a comfortable and safe riding experience from the inside out.
