On March 21, Master Bus announced that its electric buses arrived at the Port of Asunción in Paraguay on March 16 (Taiwan time). A total of 20 buses were successfully offloaded with the support of the onsite team. The arrival was personally witnessed by President Santiago Peña Palacios, Minister of Public Works Claudia Centurión, Ambassador to Paraguay Han Chih-Cheng, and local staff—marking a major milestone in Taiwan–Paraguay cooperation.

The Master Bus-manufactured electric buses were shipped from Taipei Port at the end of 2024, becoming the first case of DMIT EV buses being exported overseas. After more than three months of marine transit, the vessels reached Paraguay amid the dry season of the Paraguay River. Due to low water levels, the ship could not dock parallel to the land. As a result, cranes were used for offloading—a standard and familiar procedure for the local engineering team, who ensured that unloading and landing were completed smoothly.

Paraguay’s Ministry of Public Works will initiate demonstration route construction and begin driver and technician training. Minister Claudia Centurión shared a video of the buses being offloaded, commenting, “This is a major breakthrough for our country!”

Master Bus expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy in Paraguay, the Paraguayan government, and all support teams for their assistance. The crane-based unloading process was completed smoothly. Master Bus pledged to continue supporting the local team to ensure all engineering projects are executed on time and to standard, jointly advancing toward the global goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.
