The International Smart Mobility Expo 2025 was held at the Nangang Exhibition Center from the 23rd to the 26th. Wu Tingfa, Chairman of Master Bus, personally led the team to showcase the complete independent vehicle supply chain of the company, including chassis, body, battery pack, direct drive motor, battery management system (BMS), and vehicle control unit (VCU); at the same time, it was also announced that the first electric intercity bus will be on the road in the second quarter of this year, demonstrating that Master Bus has broken through the needs of the global complete supply chain and is fully committed to net zero carbon emissions.
The move toward intelligence, electrification, and low carbonization of the automotive and motorcycle industries is not only a focus of attention worldwide, but the Taiwanese supply chain is also excelling in key components, electronic control technology, and system integration.
In particular, Master Bus began researching and developing complete vehicle manufacturing for electric vehicles in 2015. Over the past decade, it has been delving into high-standard, high-safety, and high-efficiency technologies. From batteries and motors to vehicle bodies, its complete vehicle manufacturing technology is sophisticated and complete, and it will also become an important partner for professional exhibitors at home and abroad to seek cooperation.
Master Bus is the leader of demonstration and promotional electric buses, with a full range of models. In addition to the 12-meter low-floor electric bus, it will launch a 12-meter intercity electric coach in the second quarter of this year, moving towards the goal of net zero carbon emissions and national policies related to energy transformation. At the same time, it also hopes to create comfortable electric buses that best meet the needs of the general public and the passenger transport operators.
Master Bus revealed that the company has received orders for more than 400 vehicles this year, achieving outstanding results. In addition to the 30 electric buses that have been successfully exported to the aligned country, Paraguay, it is also working on the expansion into overseas markets.
Master Bus pointed out that the company showcased the most complete supply chain in Taiwan at this Smart Mobility Exhibition, from its independently developed 450kW direct-drive motor, the safest Lithium Titanate Oxide (LTO) battery pack, to its self-produced chassis and body, creating high-specification technology for the entire vehicle, demonstrating the determination of Master Bus to develop intelligent, technological and green transportation.
Among them, the 450kW six-phase direct-drive motor, which is the highest specification in the world, is specially designed for intercity electric buses on long-distance climbing sections, providing strong power and efficient energy conversion efficiency to ensure smooth operation of the vehicle.
The safest LTO battery boasts a long lifespan, charging from 20% to 80% in just 15 minutes and capable of up to 20,000 charge-discharge cycles. This allows it to function as a power battery for over 10 years and, after the vehicle is retired, as an energy storage battery for another 10 years, ensuring safety, environmental friendliness, and cost-effectiveness. The user-friendly BMS and VCU effectively integrate with vehicle management, enhancing overall stability.
