Collaboration with Delta Electronics to promote "Electric Bus x Virtual Power Plant" with 450kW electric bus motor showcased as a highlight of the 2025 Smart City Expo.
Master Bus is committed to the R&D and manufacturing of electric buses to help cities move towards net zero. Today (18th), at the 2025 Smart City Expo (booths on the 1st and 4th floors of Hall 2 of the Nangang Exhibition Center), it exhibited its long-distance intercity electric buses that will soon be on the road and the self-developed direct-drive motors. It also jointly promoted the image of "electric bus x virtual power plant" with Delta Electronics and conducted a conceptual demonstration.
As a member of the national electric bus team, Master exhibited its self-developed 450kW electric bus motor, which is the biggest highlight this year. It provides sufficient horsepower for intercity electric buses traveling on long-distance climbing sections, as well as 350 and 380kW motors developed for urban electric buses.

Master Bus is actively expanding into domestic and international markets, aiming to gain a foothold in the international electric bus supply chain. In January of this year, 26 electric buses were delivered to the Capital Bus Group. An additional 70 intercity electric buses will be delivered this year, serving six or seven routes from Taipei to Keelung, Sanxia, and Linkou. Master Bus is a driving force behind the government's promotion of electric city buses by 2030. The electric buses of Master Bus are also being marketed internationally. The first batch of 30 buses will arrive in Paraguay at the end of March. In addition to seizing future business opportunities, the company will also establish a local production facility, leveraging local resources and taking advantage of tax exemptions offered by Mercosur. Brazil will be an initial target.

Taiwan has a total of 16,800 city and intercity buses, and 20,000 tour buses. The transportation sector ranks fourth in carbon emissions, after manufacturing, energy, and the residential and commercial sectors. The National Climate Change Countermeasures Committee has launched a voluntary carbon reduction plan for the transportation department of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, aiming to achieve 2,800 electrified intercity buses and 220 electric tour buses by 2030, with an increase to 285 by 2035. Progress is slow and needs to be sped up. Starting in 2020, the Executive Yuan has allocated NT$64.3 billion over seven years to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the Ministry of Environment for the implementation of a three-phase flagship action plan for the electrification and decarbonization of commercial vehicles. The pilot phase from 2020 to 2022 will focus on technological development; the promotion phase from 2023 to 2026 will focus on technological advancement; and the popularization phase from 2027 to 2030 will achieve technological maturity and complete electrification of urban buses.

Electric bus operators play an important role in reducing carbon emissions in transportation. Master Bus has invested in the research and development of chassis, EIC systems, and body seats. The new electric bus factory in Erlin Science Park can produce KD parts and assemble complete vehicles. Currently, 12-meter, 9-meter, and 7-meter models are available, which can be used in urban areas and on national highways.
