▲ The National Taiwan Science Education Center, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, has jointly launched the cross-disciplinary permanent exhibition "Back to the Future: Driving the Green Transition with Imagination." In the Transportation Transformation Zone, Master Bus showcases an electric bus motor (right) alongside a diesel bus engine (left), echoing the government’s goal of achieving full electrification of urban buses by 2030 and demonstrating the significant benefits brought by green transportation transformation.
Electric Bus Impacts:
●More Environmentally Friendly
• Reduce Air Pollution
Electric buses do not produce emissions of pollutants and can significantly reduce PM2.5 concentrations.
• Lower Greenhouse Gas Emissions
They can be powered by renewable energy sources (such as hydropower, wind, or solar), enabling zero-carbon emissions, helping fulfill international climate commitments, and enhancing a nation’s environmentally friendly image.
• Reduce Noise Pollution
Electric buses improve quality of life by lowering traffic noise, with particularly noticeable benefits in densely populated transport hubs such as areas around schools, hospitals, and residential neighborhoods.
• Reduce Battery Waste
Lithium-titanate-oxide(LTO) batteries can exceed 20,000 charge–discharge cycles, serving as power batteries for 10 years. After retirement, they can be repurposed as energy storage batteries for another 10 years.
●More Economical
• Lower Operating Costs
Electricity costs less than diesel, and motor maintenance costs are also lower than engine costs, thus reducing overall transportation costs and making it more economical.
• Enhance Energy Independence
Reducing reliance on imported petroleum helps strengthen energy security and improve the trade balance. Using locally produced renewable energy can also stimulate the development of domestic energy industries.
• Create Green Job Opportunities
The manufacturing, maintenance, and charging infrastructure of electric vehicles can create a large number of green jobs. Promoting local assembly and attracting foreign investment can also support industrial upgrading and technology transfer.
• Export Potential
Domestically produced electric vehicles have export potential and can be sold to neighboring markets, generating tax revenue and foreign exchange earnings.

▲ The direct-drive central motor, self-developed by Master Bus, achieves an energy efficiency of up to 98%, reducing unnecessary energy loss.
